Chicken Leg Cappuccino

This is an Italian dish. Traditionally, chicken breast are used for this famous recipe.  However, I tried this with chicken legs. The whole process is little complicated, but I assure it pays off!!

Ingredients:

  • Chicken legs (4)
  • Honey- 2 tbs
  • Star anise (2-3)
  • Bay leaves (2-3)
  • Soya sauce- 2 tbs
  • Tomato sauce- 2 tbs
  • Black pepper as required
  • Salt (pinch of)
  • Spring onion
  • Red vinegar: One tbs
  • Garlic pods 2-3
  • Olive oil 2 tbs
  • Corn flour 2tbs

Methods:
Step 1: Take a deep pan. Add six cups of water, add chicken, honey, soya sauce, star anise, bay leaves, garlic, salt, olive oil, chopped spring onion, red vinegar and boil them for around 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, take out the chicken pieces and keep the juice aside.

Step 2: Take a baking tray, spread the boiled chicken and brush some olive oil. Grill them for 15 minutes in a hot oven at 200 degree centigrade for 15 minutes.

Step 3: Take the juice in a deep pan and put on the gas oven. Add some tomato sauce and reduce it till you get a thick gravy. Add some water and corn flour mixture. Finally, add some coriander leaves.

Step 4: Take a serving plate and assemble the grilled chicken legs and pour the gravy from the top. Sprinkle some coriander leaves for garnishing the dish.
